Kill the infection
|
Now you have your programs ready to run, reboot your computer in safe mode.
To do that, start hitting the F8 key roughly once every second as soon as Windows starts to boot. You should get a screen with options.
Select safe mode without network support.
When you get to the safe mode desktop, use your anti-spyware program to run a scan and kill off anything it finds.
Run an anti-virus scan of all your hard drives. Quarantine/remove anything it finds.
Reboot your computer normally.
